Casual discussion group for internationals in Aarhus.

We talk about Denmark vs the rest of the world in terms of society, politics, culture and lifestyle.
Share your experiences and discuss your opinions in a fun, casual atmosphere.

Language Café / Sprog Café

In our language café you get the opportunity to practice any language, from French to Cantonese to German. We meet in The Corner ("Hjørnet), the North Eastern corner on niveau 1 every Monday 16-17.30,

Fluency in English, though, is especially sought after, so if you happen to know an American, or someone from a Commonwealth country, or if you yourself happen to be a native English speaker, the language café bids you welcome!

Repair Café

Are you nifty or could you need help from someone who are?

Would you like to learn how to fix your bike, smartphone or coat? Or are you able to help others fixing something? Repair Café is an informal workshop where we try to help each other and the environment.

Bring what needs to be repaired and join us at the Ramp. We meet on a Saturday once a month. This summer and fall we meet on the following days:

  • Saturday 12 August from 12.30 to 15.30
  • Saturday 9 September from 12.30 to 15.30
  • Saturday 14 October from 12.30 to 15.30
  • Saturday 18 November from 12.30 to 15.30
  • Saturday 9 December from 12.30 to 15.30

Chess at The Ramp / Skak på Rampen

Come and play chess every Friday from 10.00 to 12.00 - both beginners and advanced players are welcome.

Are you starting out and would like to learn the basics? Or are you experienced and would you like to try playing against advanced players? Registration is not required - just show up.

Knitting Café / Strikkecafé

Bring your knitwork and meet other happy knitters.

Do you love knitting or would you like to learn? Then the Knitting Café might be something for you. There will be an instructor present but we help each other.

We look forward to seeing you for a nice afternoon. We meet on the first Saturday of every month from 13.00 to 16.00.

Guided Tour in English

Book your free guided tour at Dokk1!

Would you like a guided tour at Dokk1? Then join us, the tour lasts about an hour. If you're alone or part of a small group you can book a free guided tour right here:

The meeting point is at the Information desk in Dokk1.

On days without guided tours - or if you would like to learn about Dokk1 on your own - we offer a printed tour guide. With this guide, you can follow the route inside and around the building and learn about the architecture, layout, rooms and facilities of Dokk1 and the many possibilities of the place. Info points around the building, marked with orange ‘dots’, provide information about the specific area. The indoor tour takes about 45 minutes and the outdoor tour takes about 30 minutes.
